Blues 7 v 0 Chadderton Park Lions
M.O.M: William Frankish
Goalscorers: William Frankish (4) Kieran Jackson (2) Jack Forrester (1)
The last time the Whites played Chaddy Park Lions the result was a 2-1 victory, so the Blues new they would be in for a game.
But being fair to Chaddy Park the Blues were just far too strong and dominant in an attacking sense, whilst also impenetrable in defence and in goal. When required Harvey was always to hand with some excellent sprawling saves and though William Frankish got his third successive M.O.M and he and his attacking team mates scored a hatful of goals, should Celtic Management have chosen the M.O.M the rock in defence Michael Lizek would have received the award. Michael let nothing pass him and provided Harvey, CJ and Connor with excellent, strong defensive cover.
The attackers scored some wonderful long and short range goals, whilst Jack also scored with a flicked header from a corner. This headed goal has been coming a...

U7s Blues 0 v 2 F/worth Dynamos
M.O.M William Frankish
In the summer when the newly formed under 7s played Failsworth Dynamos the result was almost a cricket score of I think 15 - 2 on aggregate. Fast forward 6 months, and the progression was there to be seen. Failsworths team is formed around a team of academy players (Liverpool/ Utd/ Manchester City) but the best team by far was that representing Stalybridge Celtic driven forward by the games star player William F. Stalybridge dominated the game from start to finish and only lost out to an unfortunate deflection and a pass across the goal area which was pounced upon. Other than this it was all Stalybridge, tackling, battling, dribbling, pass and move, power from defence through to attack.
To sum the game up, progress, progress, progress.
U7s Whites 1 v 0 Chaddy Park Phoenix
Goalscorer: Joe Brown
M.O.M William Hughes
Another win for the hardworking, combative, yet skilful team. Chaddy Park Phoenix have improved a lot s...

Moston Juniors 0 v 1 Stalybridge Celtic Whites
M.O.M: Thomas Goalscorer: Thomas
The team continues to progress week on week. The new tactics of a set defensive line of 2 and a rolling organic midfield/ attack of 3 continues to pay dividends. At times Moston Juniors didn't know what had hit them. Thomas opened up the scoring and produced another commanding performance. Week on week he drives the team forward with pace and power. However to make this happen he needs his defence to be organised and professional and his attacking compatriots to create movement and space. This they did in abundance. Callum, William H and Joe were direct in every sense of the word. Driving forward like demons.
Yet another game went by with Goalkeeper Cameron only having to make minimal number of saves, though when called upon, he was ever ready.
The defence of Cole/ Olivia and subsequently Marshall were awesome to say the least. Im...

Avros 0 v 1 Stalybridge Celtic Whites
M.O.M: Olivia Quinn
Goalscorer: Callum McMullen
The team continues to progress week on week. This was a great game for spectators, attacking on mass, defending with steel. Avros were given no time or space with the whites closing down at every opportunity pressing play and once cleared the front/ midfield 3 interchanging passes and imposing themselves on the opposition.
Goalkeeper Cameron only had 1 save to make during the game, such was the strength, form, positional play and teamwork from the Whites. Olivia Quinn brought about steel to the team pressing and closing down, ensuring there was only one winner in every challenge.
The Whites gave Avros little or no possession and gave a disciplined professional display.
Callums goal came after a double substitution bringing Joe back into play, and straight away Joe sent a penetrative pass over the Avros defence for Callum to tuck away the goal with his left foot.
Excellent ...

Members of Stalybridge Celtic Under 7's have taken advantage of a recent invitation from a local soccer academy to improve their core football skills at West Hill Indoor Sports Complex, Mondays and Fridays

Whites M.O.M Callum
Blues M.O.M Jack F/ Goalscorer Jack F
What a fantastic day for football. Not the weather, this was shocking but the development of both teams, the manner of their play and the overall 120% effort.
The Whites scoreline in no way reflected the run of the game. The Whites restricted Clayton to 3 solitary long range shots which all went high into the net. The team pushed, pulled, pressed the play and defended with ultimate commitment. Clayton found it increasingly difficult to make any headway into the penalty area. Callum was Stalybridge's focal attacking threat but when ever he made headway into the opposition half he was hacked down. The team works excellently as a unit, held there positions effectively and showed the watching public that given their continued progression they will soon be a force to be reckoned with week in week out.
The Blues game was all one way. The boys could and possible on another day would have scored 4 or 5 goals. None of which...

After Whitworth Park withdrew from their game with the Under 7 Blues, the whites opponent Failsworth West Tigers agreed to play both teams. This is a gesture which we were grateful for as they are a top draw team who the Blues have previously lost 4-0 to. So we new we would be in for a real game.
Despite the quality of the opposition the Whites were the better team for large parts of the first half with Thomas scoring a scorcher of a long range shot and had a great celebration to match. Failsworth weren't given a minute on the ball with the team bringing into play a recent training ground technique of denying space and pressing the opposition at every given opportunity. Failsworths quality from long range started to tell however though the Whites never gave up until the final whistle. The result ending in a 7-1 defeat, a scoreline which flattered Failsworth. The Whites played with true spirit, grit and determination and made both coaches and parents proud.
Then it was ...
