Stalybridge Celtic Whites 2-0 failsworth West Lions By Phil Read
It was back to cup action this week and the Whites started brightly again the Lions and were soon creating chances and narrowly missed taking the lead when Nic crossed for Shay who headed just wide. Soon after they found themselves in the lead with Jack picking up on a loose ball and slotted it in to the corner. The Whites continued to press on and before half time doubled the lead when Rhys cracked a shot from distance. It was much the same in the second half with Alex, who was excellent at the back, managed to latch on to a clearance and fired the ball just wide. This was followed up by 2 close attempts from Luke and Nic brought a fine save out of the keeper late on. A quieter day in nets for Josh who was only truly tested late on in the game with a fine left handed save at the near post.

STALYBRIDGE CELTIC BLUES ‘10’ – BOUNDARY B ‘0’ By Alan Davies
A good way to finish off the first half of the fixture list with a comprehensive win. Unfortunately Boundary where under strength and Celtic took advantage. Five goals in the first half from Markus, Lewis, Callum Dawson 2 and Jordan. Adam switched the team around to give everyone a chance and the second half saw another five goals. A further 2 from Jordan to give him his hatrick, Cameron, Callum Rawson and Markus. This puts Celtic into second place a point behind West End Wasps. Man of the Match Callum Dawson.

Stalybridge Celtic Whites 2-1 Boundary Park A . By Phil Read
For a change the Whites found themselves struggling with the early pace of the game and were under pressure. Fortunately Josh was on top form and a match for most of what was thrown at him. Even when breached Sam was there to clear off the line. That said, as the half continued the Whites started to create a few chances of their own most notably from Rhys who was unlucky not to send the team in the lead before half time. In the second half the Whites started the brighter with Sam pulling the strings having been moved in to the middle and Rhys and Jack looking dangerous on the wings. Shay just missed out on a cross from Jack with Rhys just firing over the bar. Soon after Jack hit the cross bar after foul on Shay but then found themselves 1.0 down conceding to a well worked corner. Fortunately this seemed to rally the team to finish the stronger and soon found themselves level when Callum picked u...

Stalybridge Celtic Whites 3-0 AFC Clayton By Phil Read
The Whites managed to bounce straight back from their first defeat of the season with a convincing win against AFC Clayton. The Whites commanded play from the beginning with some excellent play from Sam, Nic and Jack with everyone other than Josh managing to get a shot away. The Whites were rewarded early on when a fierce shot from Jack bounced back off the post in to the path of Shay, scoring the teams first. They continued to pressure and following a run from Jack on the right he played the back to Sam who found to top corner from just outside the box to make the lead 2:0. Soon after Nic found space on the left and fired a shot that cracked against the cross bar. Nic was eventually rewarded for his effort finding the back of the net from the left to take the score to 3:0 at half time. The Whites continued to press in the second half and whilst the passing wasn't as slick as the first half looked th...

STALYBRIDGE CELTIC BLUES ‘1’ – WEST END WASPS ‘3’ By Alan Davies
A top of the table clash saw the Blues slip to their second defeat and the top spot went to West End. Celtic started off really well and dominated the first half with good play from Callum Dawson and Jordan. Mat kept the score level with a fine one handed save, and Nathan was solid at the back. Then Celtic took the lead with a fine left foot strike from Callum Dawson which found the bottom corner. Celtic went in one up at half time and looked good against a strong West End side. Unfortunately West End upped their game in the second half and equalised early. This put Celtic on the back foot and could not get back in the game. West End scored to make it 2-1 and literally with the last kick of the game made it three. Man of the Match. Nathan

Stalybridge Celtic Whites 1-2 West End Wolves By Phil Read
The Whites were soon into their stride against the Wolves and dominated possession from the start. Early in to the game they created the first opportunity with Rhys crossing to Nic who squared to Callum whose shot narrowly missed the target. Despite the possession and attractive play the Whites struggled to create many clear opportunities and Josh found himself the busier of the keepers making a couple of fine saves. Midway through the first half unfortunately found themselves 1:0 down and whilst their heads did not drop this remained the score at half time. In the second half the White's continued to dominate the possession and part way through the half secured a deserved equaliser through Shay. The Whites had full control of the second half but against the run of play the Wolves managed to test Josh with a shot from the left which was saved but the Wolves responded first to the rebound to score the decisive goal. STALYBRIDGE CELTIC BLUES ‘4’ – MOSTON VALLEY ‘2’ By Alan Davies
Another good team performance from the Blues against one of the better teams in the league. Moston started well getting the better of a new defensive partnership of Cameron and Callum Rawson. Moston scored but soon after Markus broke forward to equalise. Moston then took the lead again with the Blues struggling to get into the game. Moston went in 2-1 at half time looking the better side. The Blues soon got going in the second half and Jordan began to cause Moston problems and the Blues became more solid at the back. Mathew with a long kick allowed Jordan to nip through to equalise. The goal of the game then came from Callum Dawson who picked up the ball in midfield and beat several players to slot home with his left. The game then was over as another ball forward saw the Moston defending blast it past his own keeper. Man of the Match Jordan.

Stalybridge Celtic Whites 11-0 Ardwick By Lee Greenwood
After last weeks great victory the Whites continued their 100% record with a crushing victory over Ardwick FC. Both teams lined up with just 6 players, but it was Stalybridge who took control right from the start. Rhys collected the ball from the kick off on the right wing and unleashed an unstoppable shot that whistled past the keeper to put the whites 1 up within 10 seconds. The boys continued to put pressure on Ardwick playing some wonderful pass and move football but despite several chances they couldn't get that second goal. Ardwick were limited to a couple of breakaways but good defending by Sam and covering by Jack snuffed out their chances with Callum having a quiet time deputising for Josh in goal. From an Ardwick corner the Whites broke quickly to make it 2-0 with a hard shot drilled in to the net by Shay. The Whites didn't let up and made it 3-0 shortly after. Some wing wizzardry from Nick on the left before crossing t...

STALYBRIDGE CELTIC BLUES ‘4’ – MOSTON JUNIOR REDS ‘0’ By Alan Davies
This week Celtic had Moston in the league and again an assured performance brought another win. It did not take long for Celtic to put Moston under pressure with Callum and Jordan down the left working well together. It was Jordan who scored the first with a cool finish after good build up play. Nathan and Cameron started well at the back with Mat distributing the ball when called upon. Max took up his position at the back in the second half and Cameron went up front. Jordan again was causing problems for the Moston defence and it allowed him to score his second. The half then brought two further goals from Markus and Callum Rawson as Celtic ran away with a comfortable win. Man of the Match was Max.

Stalybridge Celtic Whites 3-2 Moston Junior Blues By Phil Read
Whites soon settled in to their flowing play and looked the better of the sides. Jack had a free kick that took a slight touch from Shay but hit the post. Soon after the Whites took a deserved lead with some good work from Rhys and when the ball fell to Shay he coolly slotted the ball home.
Not long after Moston scored a brace surprisingly taking the lead. For the rest of the half Moston bossed the game but failed to add to the scoreline thanks to some great defending from Sam and Alex.
The Whites were unlucky not to equalise just before half time. Callum found himself in space on the edge of the box but unfortunately for him the ball crashed in to the crossbar.
The second half was a completely different story with the Whites dominating from start to finish. The midfield was rotated with the introduction of Nic and the football played by all was breathtaking. However, it seemed like the equalis...
