The U12's won Delamere 5.2 to go second in the league. Delamere were very organised & out battled us at times. We got a good result but it was not our best display of the season, we tried to do too much in midfield and didn't let the ball go quickly enough. George, Sean, Callum G & Morgan never put a foot wrong in defence and were the best players today. Ethan didn't have a lot to do but was quick off his line when called upon. Alex tried to hold the midfield together, beyond that it just didn't quite flow despite plenty of effort. We need to give some credit to Delamere who closed us down quickly. Their defence made loads of last minute challenges & their keeper was really brave & must of saved a dozen 1 on 1's. Morgan finished the game with the goal of the season so far. He took on four players before smashing an unstoppable shot from 25 yards, supurb & man of the match again. Well done for the effort lads, a good result but we need to s... The U12's won against Curzon Ashton 5-1 to progress to the quarter finals of the Manchester County Cup. After a 7 week break since our last game the lads put in a great performance. Once again, team spirit, winning every challenge & some nice football won the game for the bridge lads. We looked strong in every position. Ethan had a quieter game in net but when he was called upon he did a couple of decent saves and his distribution was great all day. Gaskin & Fletch were solid at the back, Stuckey filled in at left back & never put a foot wrong, with George & Sean doing a solid job on the right. The defence set the tone of the day, they won everything & let the midfielders do their job. Morgan put in his best performance of the season, won everything, showed nice skill & let Alex & Josh L attack. Alex showed really quick feet today, linked really well with Josh who grabbed a hat-trick, his third was a blinder. Jamie D drove forward, hurdlin... Read the rest of this article...

The under12's beat Reddish Vulcans 4-1 in the Manchester County Cup. The lads had to score a few wonder goals to get a result today against an impressive Vulcans team. Once again it was down to hard work rather than flowing football as Reddish are a strong outfit. They played 3-5-2 with their 3 defenders having really impressive games and their midfield dominating play early on.  We started to get into it with Josh & Alex really having to work hard and kept sliding in Morgan who was driving forward and won quite a few corners. We hit the bar 3 times and their keeper pulled off some good saves before before we eventually got a goal with Marshy driving in a great cross for Kyle to net. He just always reacts first in the box and is well into double figures already this year. The game was opening up and it was good to have George back on form, putting in some good challenges and playing some decent short passes. He was being matched by Stucky who wa... The U12's beat Manchester Corinthians 4-3 in a fantastic match with both sides producing some great attacking football. Corinthians started strong, packing the midfield and controlling play. Josh & Fletch were being over run but we got a goal on the break with Kyle adding to his impressive tally this season chipping the keeper with a great finish. Aidan produced 2 fantastic reaction saves to keep us in the game but before long they equalised. We moved Alex inside leaving Stucky on his own on the right and and it worked well with Jamie sliding a great ball through for Kyle to score again. Corinthians equalised after we failed to clear a ball in the box. Aidan was really quick with his distribution today, and Ethan & Stucky gave him some great outlets & Ethan started some great moves with Marshy. We started the second half far stronger, we seemed to camp in their half after moving Fletch to partner Garrett, with Callum G on the righ... Read the rest of this article...

The U12's beat Curzon Ashton 3-2 in a great open game. Both sides played attacking footbal that went from end to end with the Celtic lads just holding on in the end. We started the day a little apprehensive, with no Aidan, Fletch, George or James and still missing Gary, Sean & Lewis we were down to the bare bones against a strong Curzon team. After 10 mins we could see the Celtic lads were up for it. Gaskin played his first game at centre half & didn't put a foot wrong all day, supported by Garrett who is having is best season for years, supported by Stucky & Marshy they stood strong & Curzon were getting no opportunities to shoot. Josh & Alex started well in midfield sliding some really nice balls through for Kyle & Jamie up front supported by some great play by Morgan & Keiran. We looked strong and soon started creating chances. Jamie tapped one in on the line followed by Kyle 2.0 at half time & looking good. Jamie broke free in the s... Read the rest of this article...

The U12's lost 2-0 the 3 D Dynamos in a game they could have won in the first half. With both teams having excellent keepers it was going to take a mistake to score, and so it proved. Celtic started strong and created some good early chances, we worked very well down the left wing with James creating some nice link up play with Kyle & Jamie with Ethan having his best game of the season overlapping from full back. Alex & Stucky on the other wing were also working well & we put in some excellent crosses but for once our strikers were not taking advantage. We were all charging too far forward & 3 Ds best 2 players were their centre halfs who headed everything away and when it did drop in the penalty area we just never attacked the ball and let the chances go begging. We were well on top but the missed chances cost us as they broke down our right side & put in 2 crosses that went past everybody to an overlapping player on the back post, 2 chances, 2 goals. Flet... The U12's drew 3-3 away at Heyside who currently hold top spot. The Celtic lads went up 2-0 early on in the game but lost 3 quick goals in the second half. To their credit the Celtic lads fought to the end to get a late goal to share the points which everyone agreed was a fair result. Heyside play some really nice one touch football and take full advantage of their 4G plastic pitch which allows them to play their passing game. If we all played on this surface then I'm sure the country would produce technically better players but as it is the Celtic lads did well and adapted to the superior playing surface. This was another great team performance. So far the most impressive development this year is TEAM SPIRIT. There is not much between all the players, so we are not weakening the team who-ever plays in what ever position. Kyle continues his impressive start to the season with another man of the match display, closely followed by Alex once again with a few other... Read the rest of this article...

The under 12's beat Urmston Town 10-0 in the Manchester County Cup. The lads enjoyed a goal feast as they continued their impressive start to the season.  The league matches have been really hard so far with the lads giving 100% to get the results. The game today proved a nice break and allowed them to express themselves. Every player took the opportunity to try their skills but impressively they kept their shape very well. The team didn't play a long ball all day and really tried to keep the ball on the floor and continue their passing game. A great result lads and really good to see your sportsmanship at the end as the Urmston lads never packed in & battled right to the end. See you all Thursday. Please turn up nice & alert as you've got a tough game next Sunday.
