There was a welcome return to league action for the under 11s on Saturday, after ice, snow and then a waterlogged pitch had meant this was only their second league game of 2012. However, another victory saw Celtic stretch their lead at the top of the Tameside Saturday League to seven points, with just four games to go.Elliot put Bridge in to the lead after just 3 minutes, but Withington were soon level when they smashed home a penalty after a foul in the box. Following that rather loud wake up c... Read the rest of this article...

After the U11s received a walkover and three more points when Dukinfield Tigers pulled out of the advertised fixture this weekend, Celtic met great rivals Curzon Ashton in a friendly instead. Both teams lead their respective top divisions at either 11-a-side or 9-a-side football and both were unbeaten to this point, so it was always going to be a good barometer for the two sides. At kick off, as the snow began to fall, the move to a 3G surface seemed a wise decision. By full time, in a blizza... Read the rest of this article...

Celtic under 11s maintained their 14-game unbeaten record and recorded their 100th goal of the season with a fantastic comeback to defeat Delamere Rangers on Saturday. They now lie two points behind leaders West End with three games in hand, but it was hard work to overturn a 3-1 deficit before running out 4-3 winners.
