The U11's beat Duky Youth 1.0 away in the league cup.
Duky started strong & were the better team for the first 15 minutes. They closed us down well & tried to play the long ball over over the top against the driving wind & rain. They had pace on the wings but failed to create any real chances.
Garrett & Ethan again stuck to their jobs & Duky had go through the middle but with Fletch & Joe winning every challenge they struggled. When they did play long we had the ...

The under 11's won 4-3 against Hough End Griffins to progress to the Quarter finals of the manchester County Cup.
After a good warm up on Saturday the lads donned the famous blue & white kit on Sunday morning to face Hough End from the East Manchester League.
We heard they were good & boy were they right.
Hough End started strong, they passed the ball very well, nice two touch, give & go football played from the back. They had 2 quick wingers who repeatedly tried to get arou...

The Under 11's got beat 3-2 away to Failsworth after a few key decisions went against them.
Failsworth put us under pressure from the start & we had to absorb some great attacking play until we got ourselves sorted out. We had tried to change things around but it just did not work & we had to put the lads in their stronger positions to hold back Failsworth. Gary was inspired in goal & Fletch awesome in front of him, blocking everything until we got our formation right.
Etha...

After scoring 9 on Saturday, the lads turned up Sunday to bang in another 6 in a convincing win over Chaddy End.
After being disappointed with a 9-0 win Saturday the lads stuck to the game plan from the start. We kept our shape far better & delivered some great crosses, and in all honesty should have got into double figures.
This was a great team performance. Starting with Gary in goal, dont worry you wont be as bored for the next few weeks looking at the fixtures, but positi...

The U11's beat Clayton 9-0 away but were left disappointed !!
9-0 is a good result for anyone, but the lads are now getting older & know when they have played to their potential.. They knew themselves they lost their shape and could have, and should have scored far more.
We made lots of changes but still created chance after chance to score, only to drill it straight at the keeper !
As the goals started to rack up the lads lost a bit of their shape and eve...

For the third time this season the Bridge lads beat Chadderton Juniors, this time 3-2.
The lads took it to Chaddy from the start, playing up hill on a heavy pitch in driving rain. With Ethan, Garrett & George rested we started with Gary out of goal at right back & Stucky at left back, both taking time but settle into their positions but then doing really well. Sean back in defence giving us his pace with Joe reading the game very well & starting to look comfortable for his fi...

In a battle with one of the best teams in the league the Bridge lads were really disappointed not to come away with all 3 points.
Both sets of parents really enjoyed the game. End to end football with every lad giving 100%. What a great example of junior football.
I know a few lads were disappointed with a few decisions but that's football, I think in our hearts we new we had blown it in the last few minutes when we should have seen out the result at 3-2.
Valuable lesson to be lear...

Another hard first half with the lads getting on top as the game went on.
Both teams had chances in the first half but Jamie D & Morgan were on fire roasting their defenders every time.
Fletch dominated the middle, won every tackle, didn't give an each & frightened them to death, just pipping Alex to mom.
Every player did really well & the managers were really proud how we played some really great football.
