STALYBRIDGE CELTIC ‘B’ 0 v 5 STALYBRIDGE ‘A’ By Alan Davies   The meeting of the A and B teams is always a keenly fought occasion but the ‘A’ Team were quickest out of the blocks after the Christmas and weather break. They quickly went 2-0 ahead before the ‘B’ Team got going. However once they settled down the ‘B’s played some good football and caused a few problems for the ‘A’s. Cameron and Ryan had chances and good ... Read the rest of this article...

Boundary Park B 0 v 12 Stalybridge A Today saw the first frosty game of the winter but the team didn’t seem to feel the cold working hard from the off and keeping possession well. Boundary’s defence held firm for the opening 5mins until Celtic were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box which Rhys converted. Our attacking players began to prove too strong and many chances were created Jack scoring the next 3 goals, the best of which was a good run and a neat 1-2 with Sam before ... STALYBRIDGE CELTIC ‘B’ 3 v 1 MOSTON VALLEY By Alan Davies   On a cold day it was a performance to warm the Stalybridge supporters who gathered to watch. All players and subs performed well to overcome a good Moston side. It started well with Celtic putting pressure on the Moston goal from the start. Cameron took charge up front and caused problems in the Moston defence with shots just going wide. Ethan in midfield did not allow Moston any space and Mathew was strong at the ba... STALYBRIDGE CELTIC ‘B’ 1 v 7 FAILSWORTH DYNAMO JUNIORS ‘A’ By Alan Davies   The ‘B’ Team had a hard task against a very strong Failsworth Dynamo side. However a good rugged performance by everyone on the ‘B’ team kept the score respectable. Mathew came into goal as Tom was not well and performed well under pressure from the Dynamo’s attack. Will gave it his all in defence making good tackles and blocks at the right time. The ‘B... Read the rest of this article...

Moston Junior Reds 0- 8 Stalybridge Celtic A Another good display from the boys today and who took the game to the Reds right from the off. Rhys opened the scoring after a loose kick out from the Moston keeper and Callum fired in a long range effort putting us 2 up within the first 5 minutes, Jack adding a third shortly after. Celtic were getting lots of possession and beginning to play some good football with Nathan breaking up any attacks from the Moston forwards. The move of the match follow... Stalybridge Celtic A 3 v 0 Failsworth West Panthers Celtic had nearly all the possession of the ball in this game against a determined Failsworth team. With most of the game played in the Failsworth half after 5 minutes Sam broke with a purposeful run down the right delivering a cross for Jack to open the scoring from close range. Sam enjoyed further runs and some good inter passing led to him having a number of shots all saved by a brave keeper in the Failsworth goal. Celtic continued to domin... Moston Brook 1-7 Stalybridge Celtic A   Celtic were down to a bare six today as Nathan and Jack were unavailable. We started brightly and had good possession of the ball right from the off. Sam scored the opener after a great passing move and Marcus added a second minutes later after a clever turn and shot on the edge of the box. Rhys got the third, a long range powerful shot struck sweetly on his right foot. Moston fought hard and their best opportunity of the half came as their striker ... Read the rest of this article...

Stalybridge Celtic B 3-0 Moston Junior Reds By Dave Dickin   Stalybridge started the game on the front foot, passing the ball around very well.  After a number of half chances we got a break  when Ryan got on to a pass from Ethan and cooly finished it in the bottom corner.  The second goal came from their kick off when Cameron won the ball and released Ryan to smash the ball in from a wide angle. In the second half Moston Brook came into the game but so... Read the rest of this article...
