U15s Denton Youth Yellows 3 V 3 Stalybridge Celtic (Sats) 21/01/12

A blustery wind was blowing across Blocksages field Saturday morning.
Denton won the toss and decided to play the first half with the wind at their backs this proved to be a help to them in the creation of their goal which they scored early on! Slack start again by Celtic. We have to stop teams scoring in the first few minutes Perhaps an earlier bedtime for a few of the lads wouldnt go amiss.

Danny had a shot from the edge of the box which the keeper spilled in front of Jack who made a run from the left wing to fire past the keeper from 2 yards out!

After Danny was brought down on the edge of the box Alex fired in a Low Free kick around the wall which the keeper dived on top of, but the ball rolled out from under him and over the line

Danny scored our 3rd goal (sorry forgot the details)

We dominated the half giving Denton no chance to shoot or create any positive play.

Half time
Dentons manager came across to have a word with Paul and was concerned he may be on the receiving end of a Hiding.

The second half started and we just seemed like a different team
The passing became very poor and some individual errors meant we gifted the game Back to Denton in what was possibly the worst Second half performance I have seen from Celtic.

Poor passing, not passing at the right time, players wandering out of position all contributed to our downfall and we gifted 2 goals to Denton who to be fair had stepped up to the challenge laid out by Celtic in the first half.
Shame we didnt respond and challenge their keeper who in the first half had a Mare but instead left the pitch with his head held high.

Disappointing performance all round !!!
