The U12's won against Curzon Ashton 5-1 to progress to the quarter finals of the Manchester County Cup.
After a 7 week break since our last game the lads put in a great performance.
Once again, team spirit, winning every challenge & some nice football won the game for the bridge lads.
We looked strong in every position. Ethan had a quieter game in net but when he was called upon he did a couple of decent saves and his distribution was great all day. Gaskin & Fletch were solid at the back, Stuckey filled in at left back & never put a foot wrong, with George & Sean doing a solid job on the right. The defence set the tone of the day, they won everything & let the midfielders do their job. Morgan put in his best performance of the season, won everything, showed nice skill & let Alex & Josh L attack. Alex showed really quick feet today, linked really well with Josh who grabbed a hat-trick, his third was a blinder. Jamie D drove forward, hurdling challenges all the game & set up Kyle for another 2 goals to add to his impressive tally. Marshy stretched them on the left with Keiran & Josh C both linking in well and both unlucky not to score.
All in all a great performance against a good Curzon team. You've got to earn a result against Curzon and the lads really deserved the win today.
Some nice football at times which is coming from the effort they are putting into training.
Well done lads, same again next week.
