U15s Barrhill vs Stalybridge Celtic (Sat) Manchester County Cup

Score 2-3.  Goals: Danny x 3. After a time and fixture change to get this game played, a slow start by Celtic helped Barhill take the lead in only the second minute. They scored with a shot that bobbled from the edge of the box straight through the defence and past Charlie who didnt see the ball until the last second and reacted well but couldnt get there in time. 1-0, 2 mins.  Celtic took around 25 mins to get going but until this time coped well with the pressure applied by Barrhill who were winning everything in midfield at this point and getting it back into our half. Celtic got back into the game after a high ball into the box from the right wing around the half way line by Alex, which wasn't dealt with by Barrhill's defence who expected their keeper to collect it but in ghosted Danny and headed it past the bemused keeper. 1-1, 30 min. s Now Celtic really woke up. The ball was won in midfield by Josh and given to Danny who ran through the defence to collect the ball and was then brought down by the keeper. Penalty! Danny steps up to shoot and places it in the bottom right, 2-1, 32 mins. After the hour mark Dylan and one of their Defenders were battling for the ball in the box when their defender battled a little too hard onto Dylans head three times! Penalty! Up steps Danny again to put it in the roof of the net 3-1, 55 mins.  After the penalty Celtic slowed the pace of the play a little which lifted Barrhill. They got theirsecond goal after their right winger ran into the box on the right hand side of the goal, Oliver came charging in from the left and was adjudged to have caught the winger! Up stepped their number 4 to score 3-2, 65 mins. The game was played out with a bit of an edge to it for the last couple of minutes with challenges coming flying in thick and fast, even a bit of handbags with several of their lads and one or two of ours but it all ended fairly well with Celtic seeing the game out!
