The good run continues but it nearly ended before it had begun. For a number of reasons including the Manchester Derby our squad of 16 dwindled to a bare 10 with no goalkeeper.

But playing a system of 3-4-2 the boys played exceptionally well for each other. Full strength the team would have scored a lot more, and but for a sticky goalmouth it still could have been double figures. But as we said at half time, playing short on numbers with no regular goalkeeper we just needed a win and thats exactly what they earned.

James Ashton ably stood in as stand in goalkeeper and played very very well. Declan and Patrick were the saviors with speed and determination at the back. This truly was a team performance but one which brought us up to 1 point behind the league leaders.
