U8 Stalybridge Celtic 3rd in Primary Cup (@ Curzon Ashton) 03/12/11

Stalybridge Celtic U8s lost in the semi final of the Primary Cup against a star studded Marple team.

Both the Whites and Blues gave it their all but came up against the might of Marple who simply stopped them in their tracks, with quality.

Players of the match were Olivia Quinn (Whites), Cameron Preston (Whites/ Blues), Harvey Swann (Blues), all of whom gave that little bit more than their team mates. But this is not to say their team mates didnt try their hardest. Cameron played his part in goal for both teams in light of Williams Frankish' absence due to sickness thus freeing up the regular 50/50 goalkeepers Jack and Jamie, and Cameron performed heroics in both games.

Joint 3rd in the number 1 cup competition in the best league in Manchester is a great effort by the team and every player should be proud of the part they played.
