What a debut the team had in the Manchester County Cup. Some of the finishes within this game would be contenders for the goal of the season. The first half was an even affair finishing 3-3 at half time, but starting with a wonder strike by Jordan Mirza from the far right corner of the penalty area into the opposite top corner of the goal. Other S/B goals in the half came from a neat passing move between Jordan and Liam for Liam to slot home, and Lewis Petruzzelli reacting quickest to a defensive error to cooly slot home.
The second half was completely different. It took the team 10 minutes of the half to build  momentum but when they did they just exploded into the game, helped by spectacular rocketing shots from distance by Liam and Jordan. Jordan struck the ball with such ferocity that it nearly ripped through the back of the net, a goal a certain Mr Scholes who was on the adjacent sideline has been and would still be proud of. Jordans goal rout included two side foot finishes stroking it past the goalkeeper and a looping effort which deflected into the net.
The team played well as a unit, with the midfield 5 at times leaving Cadishead in knots with superb pass and moves.
