CLAYTON   u11's   2 - 8   STALYBRIDGE CELTIC BLUES U11's

This was a fantastic TEAM performance and eveyone played their part , if the boys can play anything like this every week then we are in for a great season as the boys entertained us today with some very classy football.

The first half was all one way traffic as we had attack after attack and our presure finally payed off after 10 minutes as George Smith lost his marker to slide the ball home after good work from Aaron Scholes. Aaron then got on the score sheet himself with a neat finish and then for the goal of the game from Brad , he neatly flicked the ball over the defenders head, turned and smashed the ball home from the edge of the area, 3-0.

Before the break Ellis and Josh were on the score sheet with good individual goals as they left the defence for dead and neatly slotted home.

Straight after the break Clayton hit back as our boys failed to clear the ball but within minutes we broke and Aaron grabbed his second as he smashed the ball into the roof of the net.  Further goals from Ellis and Aaron (HAT TRICK) finished the game off as we ran out 8-2 winners.

Credit to our boys for keeping their cool as the second half threatened to turn nasty with some shocking challenges from the home side and thanks to our fantastic parents for also keeping things calm as comments from the opposite line were totally out of order.
