STALYBRIDGE CELTIC BLUES ‘4’ – MOSTON JUNIOR REDS ‘1’ By Alan Davies
Another convincing performance saw the blues ease into the next round of the cup. Straight from the kick off Celtic were on top and putting pressure on the Moston goal. Had it not been for some fortunate blocks and good goal keeping Celtic would have scored. The deadlock was broken with Jordan nipping in to take Celtic into half time 1-0 up. The second came shortly after the break with a fine free kick from Nathan who again had an excellent game at the heart of the defence and breaking forward. Cameron was always looking for a goal and had a couple of shots go wide. However the third was left to Marcus with a good strike form outside the box that eased inside the post. Moston then had a few minutes of play where Celtic went to sleep and scored. However Celtic went straight from the kick off and Cameron got his goal with an unstoppable shot that went into the far corner. Celtic again put in a fine team performance with everyone contributing. A well deserved Man the Match for the second week went to Nathan.
