The Blues saved their best until last as they put seven past Middleton.
The whole team was outstanding as they enjoyed their final day at Failsworth.
William opened the scoring when he coolly finished from a neat pass from Connor – a partnership that has worked well all season.
And he doubled the lead soon afterwards when he chased Jack’s long ball
from the back, again making no mistake with the finish.
Owen scored the third from an almost impossible angle as the ball came
over the topo of the keeper, before Colts found themselves with two
against Jack and they managed to peg a goal back.
But the second half was even more like one way traffic. William notched
his hat-trick, before getting his fourth with the shot of the match –
high into the top corner. Thomas was brought into action only once,
saving a decent volley – but from there Will notched again, before
Connor went on a run down the right finishing with a low shot into the
corner to make it seven.
Deacon came back on to try to score a birthday goal, but the score
remained 7-1.
William and Jack were men of the match for fine performances at either
end of the pitch, but literally anybody could have been given the award this week.
