Stalybridge Celtic v Heyside in Manchester Cup

Well the afternoon didn't start off very well as we were without our usual goalkeeper, we asked the lads for a stand in and began the game. At half time the score was 1-0 to us and the lads were playing very well. By full time the score was 2-2 and extra time was called upon. Full time at extra time and still the teams were tied at 2-2 so penalties were to decide the winner. After 5 penalties each team the score was 3-3 and we were then plunged into sudden death. They took the first and dually scored to which we also equalized, they scored again and so did we, then the big moment they missed as the stand in goalkeeper Sam Smith saved the penalty. Stepping up for our next was Darryl Tabner, who very calmly sent the keeper the wrong way and scored in the bottom corner, this gave Celtic a well deserved win as all lads played there hearts out. Well done lads, lets keep it up into the next round.
