The U11's beat Clayton 9-0 away but were left disappointed !!
9-0 is a good result for anyone, but the lads are now getting older & know when they have played to their potential.. They knew themselves they lost their shape and could have, and should have scored far more.
We made lots of changes but still created chance after chance to score, only to drill it straight at the keeper !
As the goals started to rack up the lads lost a bit of their shape and everyone started to go for goal when there were far better options. We were trying to score from really tight angles when we should have pulled the ball back for an easy tap in but this happens in all age groups when every one thinks they have a good chance to score a few.
The fact we created chances is good but the coaches were still pushing for perfection, trying to get the lads to play nice passing football & to keep their shape as we know we've got some really hard games coming up which could stand us in a good position to win or lose the league.
Final thought...We have to keep driving you lads as you are more than capable of winning this league. Start to believe it, first step by beating Duky next week. Come on the Bridge.
