U 11's beat Chaddy Jnrs 3-2

For the third time this season the Bridge lads beat Chadderton Juniors, this time 3-2.
The lads took it to Chaddy from the start, playing up hill on a heavy pitch in driving rain. With Ethan, Garrett & George rested we started with Gary out of goal at right back & Stucky at left back, both taking time but settle into their positions but then doing really well. Sean back in defence giving us his pace with Joe reading the game very well & starting to look comfortable for his first season in defence & thoroughly deserved Man of the Match, just pipping Lewis PH.
Jamie was running them ragged from the start with Lewis PH really starting to really show his class this year with some great skill & driven passes. Fletch solid as ever up against some strong lads held his shape well & Josh L linked with Kyle who is holding up the ball very well.
Morgan was quiet at first but got into it with a few driving runs & unlucky not to score a few times, even being set up a Aidan in goal who's kicking is getting better every week.
We went in 3-1 at half time, Chaddy scoring from a mix up down the left with their No. 9 who is a really quick lad chipping Aidan after beating the off-side trap for the first time.
In the second half we pretty much camped in their half, much like the previous game with attack after attack only to find their keeper in man of the match form once again. Alex, Luke, Josh & Callum entered the fray & we swapped Gary & Aidan in net but the team continued to drive at Chaddy. We just could not score, then with about 5 minutes left we got caught out trying to play too many passes in our own box leaving Gary with no chance.
To be fair to the Chaddy lads they stuck at it & are physically strong team. They never gave in but in the end nobody could argue with the result as we had that many chances we should have wrapped it up by half time.
Well done once again lads. Next week Clayton in the league then Chaddy End this time in the county cup Sunday.
Play as well as you trained tonight & you will do well.
