URMSTON TOWN COLTS U'11s 0-11 STALYBRIDGE CELTIC BLUES U'11s
After 5 minutes of this game it was obvious to see that there was only going to be one winner and it was just a case of how many the MIGHTY BLUES would score. At half time Celtic came off 4-0 up and it could have been a lot more but for some wasted opportunities. Celtic started the second half with the same confidence as they finished the first and were soon on the score sheet again , for the remainder of the game Celtic played with a tempo that was much to fast for Urmston and the goals came thick and fast .The game finished 11-0 to the blues. This was a great result and the football that was played was excellent given that this was played on a very poor pitch that did us no favours although I do belive the mole that popped up on the left wing had a hand in the 3rd goal !!!! A fine hat trick from Aaron Scholes , Charlie Hirst 2 , George Smith 2 , Ellis Kostyk 1 , Ryan Bancroft 1 , Joel Hadfield 1 and the goal of the game from Curtis Young which was a 40 yard volley from the oppositions goal kick straight back into an unguarded goal. Man of the match was given to Josh Graham for the 2nd week on the run for another outstanding captains performance, no goals from Josh this week but plenty of assists and his work rate and maizey runs from the heart of midfield were to much for Urmston to deal with. A solid back 4 and good handling from James Plant in goal made for a very good TEAM performance, well done !
