Under 10's sign off in style

The Under 10's won Duky Tigers 7.0 & 2.0 to finish the season in style after the disappointment of losing 1.0 to Glossop in the semi final last week.

The A team won 7.0 thanks to goals from Morgan, Josh & Jamie. It was a great team display right from Gary in goal who has finished the season in fantastic form. Sean won the man of the match again through a faultless display in defence, he read the game well & was covered by Luke when req'd. This was only Lukes second game in defence & gave the coaches something to think about. Alex put in some telling balls as Aaron & Stuckey came on to add some urgency to the game. Josh started off like Berbatov spooning his chances until he got his Tevez boots on. The lads finally started to knock it around in the second half & finished the gam well in what has been an enjoyable season probably finishing third after a slow start.

The B team won 2.0 after 2 goals from Jamie D. This was a closer game with the team initially missing Lewis in the middle. We changed Thomas & Ethan around & they took time to settle in new roles after being the strongest players in the last few games. The lads never really looked in danger as starting from Aidan in goal with Garrett & George in defence they looked strong with only a couple of scares. The bizare free kick awarded 1 yard out seemd harsh for 10 yr olds with Duky hitting the post but this proved to be their last chance. Fletch got control of midfield & Josh showed some great skills. Ethan, Thomas & Lewis had better second halves with George just pipping Fletch for man of the match. The lads sit in second with Glossop having a chance to catch them which is a great result as we have been down to the bare bones at times.
