CELTIC SNATCH LATE VICTORY

 STALYBRIDGE CELTIC U11,s  4  v  3  CHADDERTON U11,S

Josh 2, Joel 1 , Arron 1.

After a whirlwind start and  some breathtaking football, Celtic were 3-0 up with only 10 minutes on the clock .

A fine run from his own half saw Josh weave in and out of the Chadderton defence and unleash an unstoppable shot to put the mighty Celts one up. Only minutes later a great ball lobbed into the Chadderton box saw Joel take the shot on first time with an unbelievable overhead kick that flew past a gob smacked keeper and made it two, and then our captain fantastic popped up to make it 3-0 with a cool finish from just inside the box.

Unfortunately Celtic could not kick on and put the game out of Chaddertons reach as the away team started to play some neat passing football and their possession paid off as they took advantage of some sloppy defending to make it 3-1 and almost straight away  Chadderton were on the attack again only for their centre forward to be bundled over in the area and the Referee awarded a penalty which Chadderton converted to make it game on at the break.

The second half began almost as the first half finished with Chadderton pushing for the equaliser and it soon came with a fortunate long range effort that dropped into the top corner to leave James with no chance, 3-3 and Chadderton really believed that they could snatch a win but Celtic had other ideas and in the last few minutes of the game some neat passing resulted in a  fierce shot on goal which was spilled by the Chadderton keeper  and Aaron was there to tap home and give Celtic all 3 points.

Man of the match  was given to Luke Marshall , he has been in great form recently and looks very confident on the ball ,today his control and vision was excellent.

WELL DONE BOYS , YOU BATTLED HARD AND STUCK AT IT AND DESERVEDLY TOOK ALL 3 POINTS, WE'VE GOT  SOME TOUGH GAMES TO COME SO KEEP UP THE HARD WORK , REALLY PROUD OF YOU ALL TODAY !!!!!!!!
