Under 10's score 19 goals

The under 10's enjoyed a great day with the Scorpions winning 10-0 & Cobra's winning 9-0.

The Scorpions started brightly in another new formation for the lads to try. We have to challenge them against teams from the lower half of the league & today they really understood what we asked them to do & it was great to see their development.

Alex & Josh ran the show from the start, communicating very well & covering each other as they took it in turns to attack. They linked very well with Morgan who dropped to receive the ball a lot more today & looked better for it in probably his best game of the season.  Stuckey & Jamie held their shape to create good outlets for the middle 3 & when Aaron & Luke came on in the first half they slotted straight in very well.  In the second half it was not a fluent but by then all the lads wanted a goal so we had to keep rolling the lads into new positions for them to get something out of the game. Sean came out of defence & looked really strong the right wing & Gary had a run out in midfield as he was getting board in net. Morgan bagged 4, Josh 2, Arron, Luke, Stuckey & Luke all with a goal each. If we are being picky we need to work on stronger crosses & have more determination to drive in the balls like Sean did as some of the crosses were too weak, otherwise well done. Man of the Match Alex Fitton, just Brilliant.

The Cobra's did not start as quickly & Medlock put up more of a fight. The first half was pretty even until Fletch dropped into midfield & got into the game to give Lewis some help. They linked togther very well & the pair of them picked up the challenge to drive the team forward which created a couple of goals on the break, quite a few times on the back of quick distribution from Aidan, something he has worked on this year.  Defender turned winger Garrett got a poachers hatrick, not bad for a lad who hadn't scored for 3 years until last month !Josh grabbed a goal & Jamie came close but both could have scored or created better chances if they looked up a little more rather than trying to take on too many players.  Owen did well again, out of his comfort zone into midfield, & although Lewis looked a class act once again & Fletch grabbed 4 goals, the Man of the Match had to go to George. He always gives 100% but his positional sense is improving & he is shielding the ball better. Well Done.
